During a focus group meeting in late November, Joel Ewanick, Hyundai Motor America's vice president of marketing, realized no matter how much cash Hyundai piled on the fenders, it probably wasn't going to get buyers into showrooms. We reported at the end of December that the 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 was going to debut on 12th January at the Brussels Motor Show and, following that debut, we now learn Toyota will be wanting a not inconsiderable £62,285 for the Land Cruiser V8 in the UK. Which is a lot of money, even for for a big off-roader, but then the V8 Land Cruiser is a lot of vehicle and, in its new 2012 iteration, it offers a lot of value for money.
Will the Hyundai Veloster (pictured) get Hyundai's new engines? When we reported prices and specs last week for the new Hyundai Veloster, we were suitably impressed at what was on offer, with one exception – the engine. We’d been hoping for a little more oomph from the successor to the very good Hyundai Coupe, and we were a little disappointed that the only engine on offer was a 138bhp diesel.
